Lady Gaga’s Futuristic Inspired Look – Fashion Forward or Fashion Victim?

I must admit that I’m not a big fan of Lady Gaga’s, even though I find myself singing along to her songs from time to time (they are catchy after all). But one thing I do admire her for is her fashion forward attitude. She’s not afraid to step out of the box and wear something completely unconventional and out of this world. Recently, Lady Gaga wore a futuristic-inspired white ruffle dress at the Z100 Jingle Ball last December and I just had to bring it up!

When I saw this dress it reminded me of a white flower bed as well as something out of dreams and fantasies…but definitely not something I would see on the street. The entire look itself it very fairy-tale like and it just brought me back to my childhood days. I must admit that I really do like the dress, and it also looks gorgeous on her.

Of course I would never be fashion forward enough to pull something like this off, but for Lady Gaga, it’s a perfect fit! The ruffles on the dress is simply beautiful and she almost looks angelic with her blonde locks against the crisp white fabric. The only thing I might have done differently is the shoes, but all in all, I give this a thumbs up!

BEST DRESSED

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett always looks stunning so it’s no wonder she looks amazing here in an emerald green dress. And can I say how much I love the hair?

Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens looks cute as a button in this chic flowy white dress, especially next to Zac Efron…they just make the cutest couple!

Anna Kendrick

You might remember her from Up in the Air, but she looked stunning last night at the awards in a summery and flirty Zac Posen dress.

Cameron Diaz

Cameron graced the red carpet in a beautiful Diane Von Furstenberg short dress which she pulled off like a pro. Again, don’t you just hate Cameron’s legs?

Paris Hilton

I can’t say I’ve liked Paris’ dress choice in the past, but all animosity aside, I really liked this white feathered dress on her…it was kind of sweet and angelic, don’t you think?

WORST DRESSED

I know Lindsay had to wear pants to cover her ankle Scram bracelet, but a sparkly flared jump suit? I’d have to say this is one of the worst if not the worst dressed person at the MTV Movie Awards.

Christina Aguilera

Apart from the fact that Christina Aguilera looked like Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga had a child together during her performance, this red carpet look isn’t working either. Didn’t she just have a baby not long ago? Please, Christina, have some respect for yourself…or at least for your baby!

Kristen Stewart

Ok so I get the fact that Kristen is very awkward in person as you might have noticed, but does she have to look awkward too? That Dolce and Gabbana dress just isn’t working for her for some reason..maybe it’s her hair? I don’t know, I know I just don’t like it!

Eva Mendes

So…meh..I really didn’t care for her outfit very much. That dress had no shape to it, and it just looked like she was trying to hide something. Maybe a bun in the oven? Who knows?

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel looked like she got dressed in the dark. I don’t know if she was trying to look like she knew what she was doing, but it just looked BAD.

Undecided Goes to…Katy Perry

I’m not sure if I love it or hate it, so I’m going to leave this one undecided and let you guys judge for yourselves! I definitely have to give her big props for pulling off a bright blue wig (which actually looked cute on her!). I do love the nail color though!

Pamela Anderson to Host Fashion Cares and Donate $100,000

Pamela Anderson, the recently-announced spokesperson for M.A.C. AIDS Fund and the new face of VIVA GLAM V Lipstick will host the 19th annual Fashion Cares in Toronto on June 4 and will donate $100,000, on behalf of the Fund, to the AIDS Committee of Toronto. Within just one month since becoming the newest face of VIVA GLAM, Anderson raised over $1,8 mln. for the M.A.C. AIDS Fund. The 37-year-old Baywatch star has focused her attention on the importance of getting tested and knowing your health status. The VIVA GLAM V Lipstick and Lipglass are the main fund-raising products bringing all 100% of profit from sales to the M.A.C. AIDS Fund, which helps men, women and children who live with HIV/AIDS. “We always knew that Pamela would be an amazing addition to the VIVA GLAM V campaign. We chose her not only because she is a highly recognizable pop culture icon, but because she is so passionate about raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and encouraging people to Get Tested. But we just can’t believe how incredibly successful the campaign is already doing with the addition of Pamela. It’s a testament to her dedication and commitment to helping bringing awareness to HIV/AIDS,” said John Demsey, Chairman of the M.A.C AIDS Fund.
“I am honored to be back in my home country to participate in this year’s Fashion Cares, I feel privileged and empowered to help raise funds and awareness on the importance for Getting Tested. Everyone, everywhere, has to Get Tested. It’s the responsible choice. Knowing also helps stop spreading the disease that has no cure… yet,” said Anderson.
She will join the list of celebrities like Ru Paul, Lil’ Kim and Linda Evangelista who have previously walked the Fashion Cares catwalk representing M.A.C. AIDS Fund, the main sponsor of the event.
There will also be an opportunity to meet Anderson backstage by bidding on eBay Canada (for further information see www.ebay.ca/fashioncares).
Within the first year of the VIVA GLAM Vlaunch in 2004, M.A.C AIDS Fund raised $15 million, having celebrities Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Chloe Sevigny, Linda Evangelista and Boy George representing it.

Kevin Costner Welcomes Seventh Child!

Adding yet another little one to his sizable brood, Hollywood veteran Kevin Costner has become a dad for the seventh time after his wife gave birth to a daughter on Wednesday (June 2).

The “Dances with Wolves” star married German model Christine Baumgartner welcomed daughter Grace, who was born on Wednesday evening, weighing in at 7 lbs, 11 oz.

Keeping their public message short and sweet, a rep for the couple says, “Both mother and daughter are doing well.”

Kevin and Christine are already parents to two sons; Cayden, three, and Hayes, who turned one in February. Meanwhile, 55-year-old Costner also has three children from his marriage to Cindy Silva and a son from his subsequent relationship with Bridget Rooney.

Amy Winehouse’s Jazz After Dark Smoochfest

Having another one of those nights, Amy Winehouse was in quite the energetic mood while spotted out in London, England on Wednesday (June 2).

The “Rehab” songstress proudly pranced around as she enjoyed an evening at Jazz After Dark club in Soho – performing a short set and having a few drinks before leaving at around 3.30AM.

Upon hitting the exit, Miss Winehouse gleefully smooched nearly everything in sight – surprising a female fan by delving in for a big kiss before moving on to a nearby gentleman.

Once finished up at Jazz After Dark, the 26-year-old, who’s rumored to be dating film director Reg Traviss, then headed off with her comrades to Balans restaurant for a late night bite to eat before calling it quits for the evening.

Veronica Siwik-Daniels: Another Woods Girl

And adding to the long list of affairs, reports have said that porn star Veronica Siwik-Daniels was another one of Tiger Woods’ full time mistresses.

Also known as Joslyn James, sources claim that she provided “years of faithful service to [Woods] virulent sexual appetite.”

As previously reported by Gossip Center, Tiger’s Swedish mother-in-law was named to be the mystery woman rushed to the hospital from his Florida mansion.

Mother of Elin Nordegren, Barbro Holmberg, arrived at Health Central Hospital by Orlando due to stomach pain before 3 a.m., said hospital spokesman Dan Yates. “She is in stable condition and undergoing evaluation.”

Woods sent security guards to the hospital to protect 57 year old Holmberg. “She’s in a wing that helps protect her privacy,” added Yates. Holmberg was there visiting to help and support her daughter after reports attacked Woods with several affairs. Always looking fabulous, Nicole Kidman may love wearing high designers on the red carpets, but, while in front of the flashing cameras, she prefers something different.

“I collect vintage clothes,” she tells British SHE magazine in its December issue. “I’m obsessed with lace and 1940’s florals.”

The Australian cutie also spilled her passion for exercise, especially running. “It’s what my dad taught us – he’s a marathon runner,” she says.

“And he is also hoping that Sunday Rose, his granddaughter, gets his genetics. He’s 71 and goes on 10-mile runs. He takes Sunday hiking on his back for hours.”

And, as far as health, Kidman would rather focus on that then numbers on a scale. “As Keith’s a musician there are pitstops at Wendy’s” she admits. “But I’m six-foot tall, so it’s not weight that’s an issue for me, but things like cholesterol.”

Victoria and David Beckham: A Dinner Party for Posh

Enjoying a swanky night on the town, Victoria and David Beckham were spotted arriving at the Connaught Hotel for a dinner in Posh’s honor in London on Tuesday (December 8).

Put on by Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the soccer stud followed closely behind his cleavage-baring wife as the likes of Gordon and Tana Ramsay made their way inside.

The festive occasion was held to honor Mrs Beckham for her stylish December cover issue.

In related news, Victoria recently put her celebrity life on hold to chaperone her sons’ field trip at a local airport for a lesson on transportation.

The 35-year-old fashion icon says that she appreciates being able to give back to her kids’ school and even makes time to walk them to and from school with her hubby.

In an interview with WWD, she says, “I’ve always been driven. I was mentally and physically bullied when I was at school and that gave me a very thick skin...I’ve always been a fighter.”

Meanwhile, her busy schedule does call upon her as she relaunches her fashion collection and makes an appearance on American Idol in January - which she wants to uphold Abdul’s kind criticism.

“I want to be nice to people. I know how it feels to be stood there and be judged and how it can feel when nerves get the better of you, and I don’t want to shatter anybody’s dream. But at the same time, there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of constructive criticism. It’s doing it nicely, because even those that are bad, they don’t know that they’re bad and who am I to shatter that?”
