Applying Foundation
Cosmetic foundations such as powders and liquid foundation are used to create a clear, smooth skin tone the illusion of seemingly flawless skin texture that will last as long as you desire.
Foundations provide the perfect base for the application of the rest of your make up products.
Test foundation along your jaw line not on your hand and definitely not on the inside of your wrist. View it under different light settings. It must match the natural color of your neck.
If you want your foundation to look sheer, apply it with a sponge. For more coverage apply it with your fingertips. Professional makeup artists prefer using a makeup brush as this will apply and blend the foundation beautifully.
Open your mouth when applying foundation to expose the neck area and eliminate an obvious line at the jaw line.
Keep two shades of foundation on hand. One will be suitable for winter, and the other for summer skin. Most of the year,
they will match perfectly if mixed together.
Applying Mascara
Replace your mascara every 3 months. Old mascara becomes dry and doesn’t go on smoothly, making your lashes short and clumpy looking.
Get a hand mirror when you apply your mascara, hold the mirror down by your nose and look into it. This will allow you to see the root all the way to tips of your eyelashes and gives you the best length possible for application.
Go Slow - practice applying your mascara. Great lashes make a big difference!
